PURPOSE: To prevent a liquid refrigerant condensed in an upper stage heat transfer pipe and flowing down therealong from covering an outer surface of a lower stage heat transfer pipe, and prevent heat transfer performance from being deteriorated by inclining a water cooling shell and tube condenser by a specific angle in the direction of lines of the heat transfer pipes, the condenser being constituted such that the heat transfer pipes are disposed in a trunk case into the upper and lower two stages and in a plurality of the lines. CONSTITUTION: A water cooling shell and tube condenser in a water cooling freeze is constituted such that heat transfer pipes 12, 13 are disposed in a rectangular trunk case 14 into upper and lower two stages in a plurality of lines at an equal interval and that the condenser is inclined by an angleθin the direction of the lines of the heat transfer pipes when an interval between the heat transfer pipes in the direction of the line is assumed to be (b), an interval between the upper and lower two stages (a), and a radius of each heat transfer pipe 12, 13 (r). The angle 8 is larger than tan<-1> r/ a and is smaller than tan<-1> b-r/a in the line direction of the heat transfer pipes 12, 13. Hereby, a liquid refrigerant condensed in and directed to flow along the heat transfer pipe 12 disposed on the upper part is prevented from covering the outer surface of the heat transfer pipe 13 disposed on the lower part and hence heat transfer performance is prevented from being lowered.
