PURPOSE: To provide a method of cutting an adhesive-backed tape enabling the fine cutting of the tape with little impurity, without the adhesive layer of the tape adhering to a cutter. CONSTITUTION: An upper circular blade (male blade) 1 and a lower circular blade (female blade) 2 are alternately meshed with each other, and load is applied to longitudinally cut the width of a tape 3 passed between the upper and lower blades 1, 2. In such a tape cutting method, the upper blade 1 with the tip angleθmade 45 deg. or less is used to cut the adhesive-backed tape.
