PURPOSE: To provide a large-sized superconducting bulky material having high superconducting characteristics especially even in a high magnetic field. CONSTITUTION: A mixture of REBa2 Cu3 Ox (RE is a rare earth element) with RE2 BaCuO5 is used as a precursor for crystal growth. This mixture is heated to a temp. region just above the m.p. of REBa2 Cu3 Ox and is slowly cooled to obtain the objective large-sized superconducting bulky material made of RE2 BaCuO5 dispersed REBa2 Cu3 Ox . |
