PURPOSE: To manufacture a red and black two colors thermal recording material wherein mixed color of red coloring by heating at a low temperature is little in color tone of black coloring by heating at a high temperature, and sticking and dross stuck to a thermal head are little. CONSTITUTION: A high temperature coloring layer coloring black, and a low temperature coloring layer coloring red are successively formed on a substrate. Both coloring layers contain respectively an electron, donative coloring dye and an electron acceptive color developing compound. A pigment of 100ml/100g or under oil absorbing amount specified in JIS-K5101 is contained by 0.3-4 pts.wt. to 1 pts.-wt. of the red coloring dye in the low temperature coloring layer. Further, a pigment of 50ml/100g or over in the oil absorbing amount specified in JIS-K5101 is contained by 0.3-4 pts.wt. to 1 pts.wt.of the black coloring dye in the high temperature coloring layer. |
