PURPOSE: To prevent useless printing medium from being processed by judging a typical size being suitable for printing text data out of a plurality of typical sizes based on text data and printing format data received from a data storing means. CONSTITUTION: When a desired stamp face layout out of stamp face layouts with a normal format stored in an ROM 45 is set, data for the set stamp face layout are copied, transferred and stored in a text memory 46C of an RAM 46. Then, setting of the whole formal and a line format and input processing of text data are performed, dot pattern data are prepd. based on the text data and the print format data in the text memory 46C. When a printing key is pushed, a printing region is operated by the stamp face size data in the whole formal and the optimum stamp face size is judged based on the stamp region size and it is stored in a memory. Then, whether the stamp face is size of a stamping unit could fit to the optimum stamp face size is judged by detected signals of these neighboring switches 41. |
