<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a water-based ink composition for ball point pens, comprising carboxybenzotriazole, banzotriazole, coloring agents and water and sustaining a high level of writing properties without corrosion in the ball tip during the storage for a longed period of time. CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises (A) a carboxybenzotriazole, such as 3-carboxy-1,H-benzotriazole of formula I or 4-carboxy-1,H-benzotriazole of formula II, preferably in an amount of 0.05-5.0wt.%, (B) a benzotriazole of formula III, preferably in an amount of 0.05-5.0wt.% and (C) a coloring agent, preferably in an amount of 0.5-30wt.% and (D) water, preferably in an amount of 40-90wt.%.</p> |
