PRODUCTION OF DURABLE WATER REPELLENT POLYAMIDE FABRIC

PURPOSE: To produce a water-repellent polyamide fabric excellent in dry cleaning resistance by absorbing hydrophilic group-containing synthetic tannic acid to a fabric highly compacted by contracting polyamide fiber, applying a mixed emulsion of a fluorine repellent with a crosslinkable resin to the fabric. CONSTITUTION: A 75d and 36f polyester yarn used as a warp and a 100d/50f nylon/polyester divided type conjugated fiber yarn used as a weft are woven into a plain weave and the woven fabric is immersed into a benzyl alcohol to swell the conjugate fiber and the nylon component is divided and contracted to highly compactize the woven fabric and prescribed heat setting and dyeing are carried out, and then, the fabric is immersed into a synthetic tannic acid solution having sulfonic acid group to absorb the synthetic tannic acid in the fabric and a mixed water-based emulsion comprising a fluorine-based water repellent with crosslinkable resin is applied to the fabric and then the fabric is heat-treated.
