An apparatus for cleaning synthetic grass comprises a frame including a brush means 20 for brushing a ground surface, a suction means 26 connected to a particle collection zone located at the periphery of the brush means and a driving means 22 connected to brush means 20 and operable to activate the brush means to brush a surface to dislodge particulate matter whereby the suction means can suck up waste matter from the particulate matter.
