The protection system for building door or window openings used in case of flooding is composed of removable sealed panels (1). The panels are made from galvanised sheet metal (2) and folded into a U at top and bottom which gives them a rigidity and enables sealing joints to be inserted. The panel lengths are reinforced by an angle iron (7) which is welded step by step along the length. The rigidity of the lateral fixings is provided by reinforcing plates (3) held in place by rivets (4) Lateral holes (5) allow fixing to posts for connecting to the ground or between panels. The panels are installed by pegs, long screws and wing nuts which enable controlling the clamping of joints. The pegs are protected during periods of non use.
