APPARATUS FOR EXPANDING DATA TRANSMITTING DISTANCE OF PHONE LINE

PURPOSE: An apparatus for expanding a data transmitting distance of a phone line is provided to convert a signal pulse of a home phone line networking alliance(PNA) to change a band of a transmitting signal into a band having a least line loss, so as to simultaneously use the home PNA with a phone and to easily install the PNA without a splitter or a termination. CONSTITUTION: A home phone line networking alliance(PNA) signal transceiver(4-1-1) generates a home PNA signal according to transmission data, and receives the home PNA signal to restore data loaded into the home PNA signal. The home PNA signal transceiver(4-1-1) is connected with other data processing device through a medium independent interface(MII). A pulse converter(4-1-2) generates pulse signals having designated signal widths and the designated number of signals, whenever home PNA pulses are received from the home PNA signal transceiver(4-4-1). The pulse converter(4-1-2) makes the signal widths bigger than home PNA widths to lower signal frequencies. A band pass filter(4-1-3) makes a frequency decided by the designated signal widths and the designated number of the signals a central frequency, and passes regular sizes of upper/lower bands. A transformer(4-1-4) performs a line impedance matching and an isolation role.
