The carriage (86,87,88) is designed to co-operate with a rail (5) having a centre section (6) and two wings (7) arranged on either side of the centre section(6). The carriage member (89,91,93,95) for hooking under wings (7) of the T-section rail to ensure its guidance along the rail (5). The hooking system includes a pair of arms (128,129,130,131) projecting from the chariots sides and turned towards the rail. Each arm has a zone (142,143,144,145) connected to the carriage (86,87,88) and a free end zone (132,133,134,135) designed to be located under the wings (7) of the T-section rail. The free ends support pressure rollers (341,342,342,344). The end zones are interconnected by sections (126,146,167) which are controlled so that the free end zone (132,133,134,135) can be engaged under the wings of the rail or disengaged from the wings of the rail.
