The device uses two separate images (4,5) which are separated from each other by a large distance (6). Two prisms (7,8) are placed in front of the images. The prisms have transparent walls which are filled with a liquid with refractive index of 1.5. The prisms are placed with their narrow edges together and each prism deviates each image to one of the two eyes so that the image separation is the same as that between the eyes (3). This gives the impression of a 3-D picture.
