The appts. is used to detect a predetermined movement position of the movable element which moves forwards and backwards. A switch region (50) is completely attached in a housing (34,36) and has at least one pair of sprung contact terminals (60) which are switched on and off. A planetary gear mechanism has a ring gear wheel (46) and a planet wheel (54) fixed in the housing (34,36). The planetary gear is coupled to the movable element (20) via a movement force transmitted from the movable element (20). The ring wheel (46) is arranged such that it switches the switch (50) on or off when the movable element is in a predetermined position. A coupling mechanism (52,40) in the housing normally transmits the movement force of the movable element (20) from the planet wheel (54) to the ring wheel (46), where the rotation of the planet wheel is prevented, to rotate the ring wheel. The coupling mechanism interrupts transmission of a rotation force in the forward direction from the movable element (20) to the ring wheel, where rotation of the planet wheel is allowed, in a condition where the switch (50) is on or off. A control circuit (80) is connected to the switch (50) to detect the predetermined position of the element (20) when the switch (50) is on or off.
