A drive transmission implement for rotating a paint roller body (9) having an axial through-bore (12) for releasably receiving a shaft, comprises a spindle (16) having a first end portion (16b) adapted to receive drive to rotate it about its axis, a second end portion (16a) adapted to fit into the axial through-bore (12) in the roller body, a clutch device (17) carried by the spindle (16) intermediate the end portions and means for retaining a roller body fitted on to the second spindle portion in engagement with the clutch device (17) to enable rotational drive to be transmitted from the spindle to the roller body (9), particularly for cleaning.
