A piston-cylinder device has within its cylinder (1), an inductive measuring sensor consisting of two relatively displaceable components, where a shape stable Ti or Ti alloy sleeve (18) is arranged between the two sensor components for fluid tightly sealing the first sensor part (coaxial coils, 10) from the interior of the cylinder (1). Pref. the sleeve (18) consists of Ti-3Al-2.5V alloy.
