The container has two parallel side walls, one (2) of which is widened in the opening direction. This is fastened flush to the base (5). The remaining side wall (3) extends widening towards the container opening, to merge at the top, in a dividing zone (9), towards the exterior. Projecting regions (14,15), on the base, enter recesses (11,12) of a container stacked underneath and rest, when stacked above, on the opening rim of the container underneath. Stacking projections (6), under the base, may enter the opening of a container, when stacked one on the other, supported against the recess edge. All side walls may have taper, for moulding.
