Arrangement for synchronising assembly robot moving along assembly line

A relative position regulator (10) is rigidly fitted to the assembly robot (6) and moves with it. It contains a driver (11) which is displaceable in relation to the relative position regulator within a regulating extent of at most approximately 30 cm. along the travel direction of the robot. A path measurement device is incorporated in the relative position regulator, which indicates in the form of electrical signals with a precision of plus or minus 0.1 mm. the position of the driver within the regulating extent. The driver is connected to a set back component acting in the direction of a run-in side stop.
