PURPOSE: To provide the air bag device which can prevent an air bag from being damaged by heat generated by an inflator. CONSTITUTION: The air bag device M1 is made up of an air bag 1 equipped with a gas inflow port 1a, an inflator 2 feeding gas for expansion to the inflow port 1a, and of a bag holder 4 holding the air bag 1. The air bag 1 is held by the bag holder 4 while the circumferential periphery of the gas inflow port 1a is being held in a space between a flange section 2c formed in the outer circumferential surface of the inflator 2 and the back holder 4 disposed at the lower surface side of the flange section 2c. And heat insulating material 10 is disposed at a contact area with the inflator 2 in the circumferential periphery of the gas inflow port 1a of the air bag 1. |
