An optometry table (1) placed in front of the investigator carries a refractometer (2) for arrangement of optical elements to left and right of the investigation window, an ocular refraction-measuring instrument (5) and a controller (4). A relay or transmission unit (6) under the table establishes a communication link between the controller and the subjective and objective refractometers (2, 5) and a lens-measuring device (not depicted). The controller processes the results w.r.t. input data, and prescribes corrective lens data which are presented on a display.
