Alimentary paste is extruded from orifices (25) at a uniform rate so that uniform lengths of pasta are formed, by keeping the face (26) of the extrusion die at a constant temp. Also claimed is appts. for extruding uniform lengths of elimentary paste through a die, having a heated plate attached to the face of the die.
