<p>A water management system, by which respective paddy fields provided on a hillside farm can be readily irrigated at a fixed water level. Water level regulators (30) are provided on upper levees (12) on respective paddy fields (11) provided stepwise on the hillside farm. Water level regulators (30) on the uppermost side are supplied with water supplied from a reservoir (16) until the paddy fields (11) on the uppermost side come to have a predetermined water level. The water level regulators (30) are connected to an underground piping (14) embedded in the bottom portions of the paddy fields (11) on the uppermost side so that when the paddy fields on the uppermost side come to have a predetermined water level, the water level regulators (30) permit surplus water to be discharged into the underground piping (14). The water level regulators (30) are connected to a downstream side end of the underground piping (14) so that water supplied to the underground piping (14) is supplied to paddy fields (11) in the lower stage to irrigate the paddy fields (11) in the lower stage so as to provide it with a constant water level.</p> |
