In a floor, ceiling or wall construction, in which insulation is arranged between a load-bearing substructure and a surface covering, the novelty is that the insulation is formed by stiff supporting filaments which extend transversely between the covering and the substructure and which span an intermediate flat shape-stable activity for thermal decoupling of the substructure from the covering. Also claimed is the use of loosely woven or knitted textile fabrics for construction of highly heat insulating floors, ceilings or walls.
