An aqueous cleaning composition comprises a bleach, a surfactant, and an alkylene glycol diether of formula (I): R<1>O-(CH2-CHR<3>O)n-R<2>, wherein the substituents R<1> and R<2> each independently are alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl or aryl, R<3> in each occurrence independently is methyl or ethyl, and n is from 1 to 30. The cleaning composition has a good cleaning capability and a good storage stability.
