The tyre has an air chamber (13) in the edge region of the tread (9). The chamber is separated from the rest of the tyre interior, and can pivot away from the tyre depending on the inflation pressure, in order to form an integral rim which is guided by the track. The outer wall of the chamber may fold up when the rim is not extended, and the fold may be formed in a part (12) of the tyre wall (5) which projects into the chamber. The fold may also have a contour which is open towards the outside of the tyre.
