The cleaning part (4) of the brush has a covering (6) of the pile threads (8,10) shrunk to a varying deg., giving a curly look. Part of the threads which are not or little shrunk is smooth and only slightly corrugated. The shrunk and not shrunk parts have the same dia. The bristles (26) are positioned between the threads, or are combined with them. The dia. of the bristles is more than 5 times, pref. more than 10 times, the dia. of the threads.
