The device (1) comprises a housing (2) and a mechanical time switch system (4) which is arranged between a clamp (3) and an outlet (9). The clamp is connected to a flexible tensioner (6) via a sliding element (11) which is guided along a stretch (10) inside the housing. The restoring force of the clamp may be adjustable when the door is open and device is activated. The connection point of the clamp in the housing is adjustable upon adjustment of the restoring force. This happens via a disc (13) which is fixed to and slides along the narrow side of the housing.
