A noise damping device in tubular connectors for sanitary soil and/or waste stacks in buildings, and especially for combined soil and waste stacks. The device uses at least one layer or row of threads or strips (9) arranged in a circle against the inner wall of a tubular connector (4) to form a flexible tubular curtain that can be deflected by the effluent flowing therethrough. Noises, particularly at side branch openings (6), are substantially reduced by the flexible curtain, which does not hinder the continuous flow of effluent, while limiting splashing noises at the side branch openings (6) and transmitting them to accessories connected to the stack.
