NEW STRAIN OF KLEBSIELLA PNEUMONIAE, SUBSP. PNEUMONIAE AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A POLYSACCHARIDE CONTAINING L-FUCOSE

A micro-organism of the species Klebsiella pneumoniae subsp. pneumoniae, filed at the Collection Nationale de Cultures de Microorganismes under number I-1507, and its mutants, capable of forming a polysaccharide containing L-fucose, D-galactose and D-galacturonic acid. Application to the production of a polysaccharide containing L-fucose, which is useful in particular in the formulation of cosmetics.
