Process for the elimination of impurities from a gaseous composition

The process is for the substantial elimination of CO and H2 contained in gaseous cpds.. At least one of the impurities is reacted with a catalyst comprising particles of at least one metal chosen from Au and Pd, supported by TiO2, forming CO2 and H2O respectively. If necessary, CO2 and H2O are eliminated from the mixt.. The gaseous cpd. substantially free of CO and/or H2 impurities is recovered. Also claimed is a process for the prepn. of N2 from air contg. CO and H2.
