A one-part curable epoxy resin comprises: (a) 80-95 pts. wt. polyglycidyl ether of a phenol having terminal 1,2-epoxy gps.; (b) a latent curative; (c) an accelerator; and (d) 5-20 pts. wt. (based on 100 pts. wt. total wt. for (a) + (d)) of an additive to enhance the toughness of the epoxy resin, comprising an epoxy-terminated urethane prepolymer incorporating an oxazolidone structure, and having a structure of formula A-R-A (I). In (I), A = a gp. of formula (Ia); and R = residue of an aliphatic polyether glycol having an Mw of 3000.
