The hydrotechnical structure is used for automatic water level adjustment in canals and water basins. It reduces the losses and measures the quantity of the running water. The structure consists of a main water canal (1) and additional water canals (2 & 3) in which adjusting sets (4 & 5) are fitted. Each of the sets (4 & 5) consists of four bottom gate hydroregulators (6). The bottom gate hydroregulator (6) is built on a reinforced concrete bottom (7) having the main bottom gate (10) fitted on it containing a piezometer (30). A bottom float (31) is fitted under the bottom gate (10), under the inclined pipeline (21), connected to a lever (32) suspended on the rear end (12) of the main bottom gate (10) and pivotly connected to an inclined rod (33). The upper end of the inclined rod (33) is connected to a two-arm mechanism (34) with a facility for contraction and extension which effect simultaneous closing/opening of valve (35) and opening/closing of valve (37).
