An automatic transmission control method using a driver-actuated ergonomically designed control for switching, when driving, between at least two forward control modes D and B, where mode D is the default mode. When the driver selects mode B, and if an acceleration has been started and completed, then the transmission switches back to mode D. The method enhances the amenity in use of this kind of transmission and in fact improves its automatism. |
