PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant having a wide deodorization spectrum, an excellent deodorization function and suppressed dusting and ignition tendency even though it contains bamboo charcoal powder. SOLUTION: The deodorant comprises a carrier of at least one kind of substances selected from the group consisting of hormite-based clay minerals, montmorillonite-based clay minerals, and their acid-treated substances and a powder component of a bamboo charcoal powder deposited on the carrier in a weight ratio of the carrier to the bamboo charcoal powder from (99:1) to (80:20).
