<p>A non-washing cosmetic compsn. comprises at least one guar gum and at least one oxyalkylene-substd. silicone in a cosmetically acceptable medium, the guar to silicone wt. ratio not being greater than 5. The medium is pref. water and/or a solvent selected from mono- or poly-alcohols, glycol ethers and fatty acid esters. The gum is nonionic, contg. 1-6C hydroxyalkyl gps. (pref. hydroxy-methyl, -ethyl, -propyl or -butyl) to give a degree of hydroxyalkylation of 0.4-1.2, or it may be cationic, contg. less than 30 (pref. 5-20) wt.% of trialkyl-ammonium gps., partic. trimethyl- or triethyl-ammonium gps., or is modified by 2,3-epoxypropyl trimethylammonium chloride.</p> |
