The present invention refers to a disposable integral absorbent article, such as a diaper consisting of a front and a rear waist area and of a crotch area situated between the two former areas.The absorbent article comprises a backsheet, an absorbent core, a hydrophobic and liquid-impervious insert sheet situated above the absorbent core and a topsheet lying over the former elements of the absorbent article and partially attached to these; the topsheet comprises two symmetrical-with respect to the central axis of the absorbent article-longtudinal slits,not necessarily parallel, which allow - preferably by the help of elastic means - the topsheet to be raised so as to form lateral longitudinal barries. The elestic means which are positioned inside two, at least, folds of the topsheet which extend along the entire length of the absorbent article, cause the concave curvature of a cavity which acts as a containment reservoir for the bodily exudates of the wearer. |
