<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advance possible range deciding device which can be loaded on a vehicle. SOLUTION: A millimeter-wave antenna 11 setting a front part to be a detection range, a radar device 12, a television camera 13 and a video device 14 are loaded on the vehicle 1 and it is connected to a microcomputer 15. The edge of an obstacle is detected, based on a television picture and it is decided whether or not a target exists between the edges. A face, where the target exist between the edges and a face where the target does not exist but the self-vehicle cannot pass, is recognized to be an advance inhibition face, a face where the target does not exist, and the self-vehicle can pass is recognized as an advance permitted surface and the advancable range is decided.</p> |
