PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of abnormal sound caused by deflection of a trunk lid when the trunk lid is closed. SOLUTION: The trunk lid 1 for opening and closing an opening part of a trunk of a vehicle is supported by goose necks 3a, 3b. Each one end of the goose necks 3a, 3b is fixed to the trunk lid 1, and the other end is supported on a car body to be rotated by rotatable parts 4a, 4b (not shown). When the goose necks 3a, 3b are rotated while taking the rotating parts 4a, 4b (not shown) as a fulcrum, the trunk lid 1 is opened and closed. A control unit 9 controls a motor 8 and a clutch 7 in opening the lid to drive the trunk lid 1 in the opening direction, and controls the motor 8 and the clutch 7 in closing the lid to drive the trunk lid 1 in the closing direction. The control unit 9 reverses the motor 8 on receiving a lock signal from a lock detecting switch 12 (Fig. 2), and disconnects the clutch 7 when the rotational frequency of the motor 8 becomes more than a designated value to stop the motor 8.
