Perishable product display cabinet (1), preferably refrigerated, includes means (7) arranged to provide, in a product display area (2) of the cabinet (1), a primary atmosphere of cooled, moisture-laden air, which may be flowing from ducting (8) preferably at low velocity, and means (6) arranged to provide in the product display area (2) an auxiliary atmosphere of moisture, preferably in the form of a mist or fog of water droplets. The means (7) may be ultrasonic and may include an ultraviolet light for controlling bacterial growth. |
