Immunomodulatory macrocyclic compounds having the formula <IMAGE> and pharmaceutically acceptable salts, esters, amides and prodrugs thereof, wherein one of R107, R108, R109 and R110 is a radical having the formula <IMAGE> (II) <IMAGE> (III) or <IMAGE> (IV) as well as pharmaceutically compositions containing such compounds and methods of immunomodulatory therapy utilizing the same.
