<p>PURPOSE: To simplify the auto-reverse mechanism by providing a rotation stop detection means or the like, and to reduce the size and manufacturing cost of a tape recorder by decreasing the number of components. CONSTITUTION: In the auto-reverse tape recorder, the traveling direction of a tape is switched when it is taken up till the end. The auto-reverse tape recorder comprises a moving plate 10, a moving means and a rotation stop detection means wherein the moving plate 10 is located alternatively at the first or second lateral moving positions depending on the traveling direction of the tape. The moving means comprises a lacking tooth gear 27 and a cam hole 17 and moves the moving plate 10 in the moving direction thereof upon application of an initial moving force. The rotation stop detection means comprises rotation detection members 34, 35, and an oscillation member 36 and detects stoppage of rotation of reel shaft 22, 23. Upon detection of stoppage, an initial moving force is applied to the moving plate 10 and the moving means is driven.</p> |
