摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To accurately execute control for the traveling state of a vehicle entering into a curve and the generation of an alarm to a driver by accurately estimating the existence or characteristics of a curve on a road while considering the influence of an error included in road map information in respect to a controller corresponding to a road state ahead of an automobile which is suitable to the generation of an alarm of a driver on the vehicle going to enter into a curve or the control of vehicle speed. CONSTITUTION: The controller is provided with a curve detecting means 20 for detecting the existence of a curve on a road ahead of a vehicle and the curvature characteristic of the curve from road information outputted from a navigation system, a judging means 30 for judging whether the current speed of the vehicle going to enter the curve is too high or not based upon the curvature characteristic of the curve when the curve is detected by the means 20 and a nonconformance control means 40 for generating an alarm or controlling the traveling of the vehicle when the means 30 judges that the speed is too high. The means 30 is set up so as to judge the speed of the vehicle entering the curve while considering an error in the curvature characteristic of the curve which is generated based upon an error in the road information stored in the navigation system.</p>
