PURPOSE: To facilitate adjustment to make a flaw corresponding to a defective picture element hardly seen by generating an arbitrary desired image pattern by adding an image pattern generator, displaying that image pattern on a monitor and adjusting it. CONSTITUTION: When adjusting a correlative double sample(CDS) circuit 4, under the control of a personal computer 6, an image pattern generator 8 generates a sample pulse sequence not to sample a picture element group to display the arbitrary desired image pattern. Then, the generated sample pulse sequence is adjusted so that the image pattern can not be visually observed when it is impressed to a solid-state imaging device (CCD) 1. Next, after the adjustment is completed, the sample pulse sequence not to sample the defective picture element is impressed to the CCD 1. Thus, when the arbitrarily desired image pattern is displayed on the monitor and adjusted not to be observed, the defective picture element is corrected. Therefore, the proper correction of the defective picture element at the CCD 1 can be facilitated. |
