PURPOSE: To roughly polish a stainless steel pipe surface to a stabilized surface condition efficiently by installing bar-shaped bodies in a roll surface through an elastic material in the condition that they are inclined in the roll axial length direction and/or the tangent direction. CONSTITUTION: In a polishing brush 4, bar-shape bodies 1, which are composed of the resin group main material, the polishing grains and the reinforced fiber, are stood on the surface of a roll 3 through each spring 2 as an elastic material. The bar-shape bodies 1 are installed in the condition that they are inclined at 30-60 deg. against the tangent direction of the roll 3. In the case where this angle of inclination is less than 30 degree, multiple linear damages are generated in the rough polished surface, and in the case where the angle of inclination exceeds 60 degree, the bounce of the bar-shape bodies 1 is eliminated and the rough polished surface can not be controlled by the pressurizing force. Consequently, the angle of inclination at 30-60 degree is optimum. |
