JOINT GASKET MATERIAL SERVING ALSO AS BACKUP MATERIAL

PURPOSE: To promote seal efficiency of a bed joint by improving a backup material for holding sealant filled in the bed joint from the rear side between exterior wall boards moving up and down each other when the exterior wall boards having penetration holes in the longitudinal direction are vertically sided and bear the whole lower surface of them on brackets to construct the exterior walls. CONSTITUTION: A gasket material main body having width wider than that of a depth of penetration holes 21 bored in exterior wall boards P is constituted of a first thick main body section 1a provided to the front side of brackets bearing the exterior wall boards P and a second main boy section 1b deviated to one side in the thick direction of the first main body section 1a and monolithically formed thereof. First lips 2a and 2b are projected to both sides of the first main body section and, at the same time, a second lip 3 is projected to the end of a depth side in both sides of the second main body section 1b. The first lips 2a and 2b are resiliently connected to both up and down ends of the exterior wall boards moving up and down each other in a state to insert a joint gasket material in a bed joint 27, and the bed joint 27 is sealed from both front and rear sides.
