摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a fuel reformer for further improving the heat transfer rate between a heat transfer medium and a raw material gas. CONSTITUTION: In a fuel reformer 1, flow passing guide bodies 3 are added to a conventional reforming pipe 8. The flow passing guide body 3 is produced by using a round bar material made of metal. On each of the inner peripheral surface and on the outer peripheral surface of an outer cylindrical body 83, the two bodies 3 are fitted. Therefore, the bodies 3 are installed in parts adjacent to an outer cylindrical body 83 of an outer annular space 87 and a heat transfer medium flow passage 52. In this way, raw material gas 9a flowing in the outer annular space 87 and a part of the heat transfer medium 51 flowing in the heat transfer medium flowing passage 52 flow in spiral flow passages along the flow passage guide bodies 3, and the residual raw material gas 9a flows between the flow passage guide bodies 3 and the an intermediate cylindrical body 81, and the residual heat transfer medium 51 flows between the the flow passing guide bodies 3 and a furnace vessel 7.
