PURPOSE: To provide the title copy paper having excellent optical reading capacity by a small coating amt. of a color former. CONSTITUTION: In optical reading carbonless pressure-sensitive copy paper utilizing the color forming reaction of an electron donating color former and an electron acceptive coupler to form a developed color image having absorption within a wavelength region of 600-1000nm, microcapsules including the electron donating color former are provided on the pigment coating layer using inorg. solid support. Pref., the oil absorption of the inorg. solid fine particles based on JIS K5101 is 20-40ml/100g and the coating amt. of the pigment coating layer is 3.0-8.0g/m<2> .
