PURPOSE: To reduce load change of an input shaft of an index unit by a simple mechanism by forming a plate can to receive torque from a can follower in a direction to cancel load change by intermittent rotation of an output shaft. CONSTITUTION: A plate can 62 is fixed to an input shaft 51 and a can follower 64 is energized by a compression spring 63 and is pressed to the plate can 62. Load reaction is applied to the input shaft 51 in a direction to rotate slowly in an acceleration region in the first half of intermittent rotation of an output shaft 60 and force is applied in a direction to rotate rapidly in a deceleration region of the latter half of intermittent rotation. Meanwhile, a form of the plate cam 62 is processed so that torque by the can follower 64 pressed to the can 62 is applied in a direction of rapid rotation, namely, a direction of acceleration in an acceleration region and applied in a direction of slow rotation, namely, a direction of deceleration in a deceleration region. Therefore, torque applied to an input shaft 51, namely, change of acceleration can be restrained. |
