PURPOSE: To form a sharp image and moreover, to transfer a large sized image and also to form plural images on a single intermediate transferring body by preventing transfer unevenness at the time of transferring images formed on an image carrier to the intermediate transferring body and at the time of transferring an image from the interrmediate transferring body to a recording paper. CONSTITUTION: This device has a transferring means 117 for pressurizing a recording paper to an intermediate transferring body 114 to transfer a multicolor image transferred to the intermediate transferring body 114 to a recording paper (p) and when images are formed on an image carrier plane 103 by using plural developing devices 107, a multicolor image is formed by successively transferring images on the intermediate transferring body 114 while pressurizingly bringing the intermediate transferring body 114 into contact with the image carrier plane with a pressurizing means. Then, when the multicolor image is transferred with respect to the recording paper (p) by sepalating the transferring means from the intermediate transferring body 114, the multicolor image formed on the intermediate transferring body 114 is transferred on the recording paper (p) by separating the intermediate transferring body 114 from the image carrier plane 103 while releasing the pressurization of the pressurizing means and by bringing a transferring means 120 into contact with the intermediate transferring body 114. |
