PURPOSE: To correct the error of the clock circuit of an electronic appliance and a remote controller by receiving FM broadcast signals including a time signal through the built-in tuner of the remote controller, comparing the detected time signal with a time by the clock circuit and correcting the time error. CONSTITUTION: FM broadcast including the time signal is received in a tuner 5 built in this remote controller 1 and the time signal is detected by a detection circuit 43. The detected result is compared with the time by the clock circuit 42 in a comparison and correction circuit 41 and the time error by the clock circuit 42 is automatically corrected. Then, corrected time information is transmitted through an IR transmission circuit 34 to an electric equipment operated by the remote controller 1, the time inside the electric equipment is corrected, the timed results of the remote controller 1 and the electric equipment match and remote control reservation operations without the errors are performed. |
