PURPOSE: To compress image data and edit to the compressed data by extracting the compressed data for each compressed frame and restoring those data into original image data using a reproducing means. CONSTITUTION: A video signal processing part 2 generates the image data of RGB from a video signal and a switch 3 selects either these image data or image data inputted from a computer 11. Then, an encoder part 4 compresses the image data selected by the switch 3 and converts those data into the compressed data for each frame, and a bus control part 5 controls a bus and transfers image data or compressed data. Besides, the computer 11 is composed of an LSI 13 for reproducing, main memory 12, CPU 14 and editing means 15. In this case, the memory 12 stores image data and compressed data and the LSI 13 restores the compressed data and reproduces them into the original image data. Further, the CPU 14 performs various kinds of processing according to a program and the editing means 15 restores the compressed data, edits those data and compresses them again. |
